Our staff includes professionals with advanced degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, and Education. In addition, members of our staff have held positions as HR and business line executives and as research specialists. Our Leaders:
Phil Jury, Ph.D. - President and Executive Director
Dr. Jury founded SPR Center in 1978 and has devoted his career to developing employee opinion survey, 360º feedback assessment and organization development tools for many corporations in diverse industries. He is co-author of the Corporate Leader Questionnaire, a 360º feedback instrument designed to assess transformational leadership skills. He has also developed a number of survey feedback, executive coaching and other development techniques that utilize survey information to effect organization change. Dr. Jury received his Ph.D. in Industrial Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
Heidi Smith-Erspamer
Ms. Erspamer has been involved in employee survey research for over 20 years and engages in a wide range of employee survey activities at SPR Center. Her specialties include survey program design, instrument development, group dynamics, results interpretation and management presentation, and survey action planning and feedback techniques. In addition to her work with clients, Ms. Erspamer is responsible for determining SPR Center's methodology and practices in survey feedback and results utilization in client organizations. She received her MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
Joan Krebs
Ms. Krebs has been responsible for implementing survey projects for over 15 years. Her experience includes institutional research as well as employee and other organizational development surveys. Her expertise spans all tactical aspects of survey administration from administration to data capture to reporting. In addition to her project work, Ms. Krebs is responsible for creating and implementing the Operations plan at SPR Center. She received her MA in Higher Education from the University of Minnesota, including coursework in Organizational and Industrial Psychology.
Norm Peterson, Ph.D.
Dr. Peterson has a Doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and over 25 years experience in industrial and organizational psychology. His expertise includes psychological measurement in organizational settings, employee selection research, job analysis, and evaluation of human resource systems. Before becoming a part of SPR Center he spent ten years as a Senior Research Fellow at the American Institute for Research, thirteen years at Personnel Decisions Research Institute, and three years at the State of Minnesota's Human Resources Department.
